Position Summary:

Ogury is looking for an experienced Insights Director to join our growing insights division in the United States.  Reporting to the Head of Insights, US, you will be responsible for leveraging your knowledge of audience data and consumer behavior to drive value for clients.  This person is meant to bring the voice of Ogury’s 1st party data to all client work and ensure a connection between the data and client business challenges/goals.

This person will work closely with internal teams such as data engineers, sales, client success and marketing to most effectively identify and deliver on client insights and data strategy needs.  This person will also act as a resource for all things data and insights reporting for the aforementioned internal teams. You will often need to come to task as an internal knowledge resource for existing and upcoming client strategy needs.

The Insights Director is a self-motivated and proven problem solver.  This person has the ability to help craft strategic narratives based on data and insights that will make immediate positive impact for clients.  A successful candidate will have extremely polished client communication skills both written and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategy, using data and research to impact media/marketing decisions.

This position will be located in Chicago, IL.


  • Communicate data and insights in a meaningful and effective way both internally and externally to clients

  • Make insights actionable, ensuring all data analysis and insights work leads to strategic client recommendations/plans

  • Leverage internal data, primary research and industry trends to proactively identify business opportunities

  • Build strong and effective relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitating a seamless integration of insights and strategy into day-to-day client business opportunities

  • Be a product expert for all internal data and insights tools

  • Be a key contributor to shaping the evolution of data and insights reporting tools

  • Stay interested and knowledgeable on developments in the industry as they pertain to data, ad tech, digital advertising and consumer behavior

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree

  • 7+ years’ experience in an insights & strategy driven role within the digital media/tech space

  • Strong understanding of data with the ability to translate quantitative data into qualitative insights

  • Mobile advertising experience required

  • Experience with data analysis in various platforms

  • Deep knowledge with the sales process and the role strategy plays in pre-& post-sale

  • Analytical and conceptual thinker with strong sense of judgment

  • Ability to be a liaison between multiple internal teams and prioritize various request at once

  • Ability to operate both analytically and creatively to reach the optimal approach to client business

  • Self-motivated and passionate with the desire to “make their mark”

  • Strict attention to detail in pressure situations

  • Strong oral and written communication

  • PowerPoint and Excel expert
